TODDLER PROGRAM

18 MONTHS - 3 YEARS OLD

Ratios: Our Toddler Program maintains a ratio of 1 teacher for every 4 children, lower than the state required ratio of 1:6. Children thrive when they have strong relationships with their caregivers. It's impossible to develop a relationship if a teacher is caring for too many children. The National Institute of Early Education Research states that when ratios are kept lower, teachers provide more individualized attention, engage in more dialogues with children, and spend less time managing children and more time in educational activities.

Curriculum: Curriculum is based on the California Toddler Learning Foundations. According to the National Association for the Education of Young Children, "These domains represent crucial areas of early learning and development that contribute to young children's readiness for school"(2002). Activities include language, cognitive, perceptual/gross motor, and social/emotional development.
